Autumn Beef Recipes
The weather is beginning to turn. The nights are certainly feeling colder and the evenings are getting darker earlier. It’s almost that time of year where we pull out our warm jumpers and begin eating comfort food to keep us feeling cosy. With autumn only days away, we thought we’d share some of our favourite autumn beef recipes to inspire you.
Steak and Ale Pie
All you need is some great pastry, fantastic meat such as Hereford beef, and some good beer. Rough puff pastry is fun to make, but you can save time by buying some pre-made pastry at the grocery store. Ask your butcher for 1 kg of Hereford braising steak and pick up a bottle of your favourite ale on the way home. You only need half a pint so you can drink the rest while you cook. Hereford Oxtail with Blackberries
There are plenty of blackberries that are ready for picking right now. Collect about 100 grams and bring them home to use in this delicious recipe that is bursting full of flavour. Ask your butcher for 1.3 kg of Hereford oxtail pieces. Find our recipe here.
Chilli Con Jamie
