We’ve thoroughly enjoyed Great British Beef Week and what better way to see it off than by celebrating with loads of Chilli made with quality British beef. That’s right, this weekend is the Eastnor Chilli Festival 2015. It starts at 11am on Sunday 3rd May and finishes on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th. The Chilli Festival is an amazing day out for the family and food lovers who will be spoilt at the Chilli Market, have plenty to eat and drink while enjoying live music and cookery demonstrations.
The festival features so many excellent stalls offering you everything from Chili to plants and cakes. Enjoy local ciders and beers, sample chilli’s and give your tastebuds a day they’ll never forget. Learn more about what’s on, get directions and ticket prices by visiting the Eastnor Castle website here.
If you can’t make the Chilli Festival why not make your own chilli? Ask your butcher or visit your local farm shop and stock up on Hereford Beef mince (Hereford Beef mince is also available at many of the high street supermarkets). Here are three chilli recipes you could try:
Spiced Hereford Beef and Chilli – Ask your butcher for one and a half pounds of lean sirloin or rump steak.
Chunky Beef Chilli – A great American recipe full of chunky Hereford stewing beef and jalapeno peppers.
Mexican Beef Chilli – An amazing recipe for your friends and your family requiring 4kg stewing beef.
